TWICE Just Broke The Legendary Girl Group S.E.S Record That’s Been Preserved For 17 Years
TWICE latest release “Fancy You” is a smashing success that has snagged them a new record that’s been preserved by one girl group for over 17 years.
The Kpop girl group with the most sold albums has been SM Entertainment S.E.S, they had set this record throughout their active career promotions from 1997 to 2002.
S.E.S sold a total of 3,563,059 copies of their album; they held the title for the most sold albums by a girl group for the past 17 years. This record has finally been broken by TWICE.
As of April 25 counting sales from their newest release “Fancy You,” TWICE sold more than 3,750,000 copies of their albums.
TWICE has released a total of 12 albums since their debut in 2015. They are now the bestselling girl group in all of South Korea.
Their sales numbers in Japan are even more impressive, with 8 Japanese albums selling more than 6 million copies in total.
