SM Entertainment to reportedly hold auditions to find new members of NCT.
Herald POP reported on January 26th that SM Entertainment will hold an audition to discover new NCT members and prepare for the launch of NCT Tokyo in earnest.
Any male born between 2001 and 2008 can apply for the audition, and those who pass the final test will reportedly receive free SM trainee training and a chance to debut as an NCT member.
Previously, SM announced plans to create new team units of NCT, such as NCT Tokyo, NCT Hollywood, and NCT Saudi Arabia. SM is expected to start preparations for the launch of ‘SM Tokyo’ in earnest through NCT’s audition in Japan this time.
NCT debuted in 2016. It is receiving a lot of love as an infinitely expanding group. Last year, NCT Dream sold more than 5 million copies with ‘Glitch Mode’, ‘Beatbox’, and ‘Candy’, and NCT 127 also recorded 1.54 million copies with ‘2 Baddies’. They are meeting fans all over the world with their second world tour ‘Neo City – The Link’.
