NCT‘s Haechan has been fined for indoor smoking.
On the 11th of January, SM Entertainment announced, “In the NCT 127 dance practice video released on the 10th, it was confirmed that Haechan was using an e-cigarette indoors. We plan to pay the fine imposed by the local health department.”
They added, “We deeply apologize for causing concerns to many people due to careless behavior. We will pay extra attention to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.”
Earlier, after the release of the NCT 127 dance practice video on the 10th, scenes of Haechan indoor smoking with an e-cigarette spread through social media and online communities, causing controversy. Currently, the scene has been edited. Some netizens have also filed complaints regarding Haechan’s indoor smoking.
Meanwhile, Haechan is currently on temporary hiatus due to health reasons. He was unable to perform at the NCT 127 third tour ‘NEO CITY: JAPAN – THE UNITY’ on the 7th and 8th, due to symptoms of a high fever and a cold.
