Former Stray Kids’ member Kim Woojin released an interview clip ahead of his comeback discussing his feelings on various happenings surrounding him.
SM Entertainment’s music publishing subsidiary, Creation Music Rights (KMR), released the interview clip ‘REVERSE: BREAKING THE SILENCE’ on Kim Woojin’s official YouTube channel on the 1st of April.
In the video, Kim Woojin confesses his innermost thoughts that he couldn’t say before with a serious and sincere attitude.
The video begins with the idol updating on his current situation. Kim Woojin said, “I am working on songs, writing lyrics, and learning new dances. I always believe that you must be prepared so that you can seize the opportunity when it comes, so I am living that way.”
He then added, “In the past, I focused more on what stories the public would want to hear, but nowadays, I try to tell my own story more.”
He also candidly shared his feelings about the rumors surrounding him, He said, “After experiencing that nonsense, I decided to speak more clearly about myself. It was such a peculiar case, so I ignored it, which intensified the seriousness. It was quite shocking. They make irresponsible comments and do not listen to my words. I felt quite frustrated by that whole situation. From now on, if I have to speak up, I decided to deliver my thoughts more clearly.”
Kim Woojin then addressed his shocking departure from Stray Kids, “In the past, after leaving the team like that, I feel terribly sorry about it. Back then, I was still young. I focused on my situation first. Although it’s a bit late, I would like to apologize to all the people who were hurt by that incident. I would like to express my deep apologies.”
Finally, Kim Woojin broke his silence. He stated, “Now I want to make music with my own story. Everyone goes through tough times. I believe that just empathizing through music can be comforting. I want to become a singer who empathizes and comforts others.”
Kim Woojin will make a comeback this month.
