The group ‘Highlight‘ has been allowed to use their former name ‘Beast’ trademark.

On the 2nd of April, their agency Around Us stated, “We have smoothly reached an agreement with Cube Entertainment regarding the use of the ‘Beast’ trademark.”

However, Highlight will continue their activities under the name ‘Highlight’. Around Us expressed, “It is a new experience to be able to show the name ‘Beast’ separately from the group name. We hope that this news will be a meaningful gift to Highlight and their fans as they celebrate their 15th anniversary.”

On this day, Highlight released a video featuring the debut dates of Beast ‘2009.10.16’ and Highlight ‘2017.03.20’, as well as the two team names ‘Highlight X Beast’. Following this, the dates ‘2024.05.10’, ‘2024.05.11’, ‘2024.05.12’ were revealed. The phrase ‘Lights Go On, Again’, which is the name of Beast’s fourth mini album released in 2010 and also the name of their fan club, was added.

Highlight debuted as a 6-member group under the name Beast in 2009. In 2016, they decided not to renew their contract with their former agency Cube Entertainment and established their own independent label, Around Us. Since then, they were unable to use the name Beast as Cube Entertainment owned the rights to it. After 7 years, they are now able to use the name Beast.

Recently, they released their fifth mini album ‘Switch On’ in celebration of their 15th anniversary, with the title track ‘Body’.
