SM Entertainment has stated that the rumors of EXO members Chanyeol and Sehun transferring to another company are “not true”!
On the 17th of October, a media outlet reported that Chanyeol and Sehun would be leaving SM Entertainment to sign exclusive contracts with a new company for their individual activities.
Regarding this, a representative from SM Entertainment stated to OSEN on the same day, “The transfer of Chanyeol and Sehun to another agency is not true. The contract between SM and the EXO members, which was signed at the end of last year, is still valid, and EXO’s activities will continue to be carried out by SM.”
However, it was revealed that there are some autonomous activities for individual members. SM explained, “Regarding individual activities, under the exclusive contract with SM, if the member wishes, we have conditionally allowed them to proceed through the corporation established by the member themselves.”
EXO released their 7th full-length album ‘EXIST’ in July, and Chanyeol and Sehun have previously promoted as the unit EXO-SC.
