On the night of June 26, BTS member Jungkook shed tears when he received a heartfelt gift from fans in the form of a fan-made song. During a 2-hour live broadcast on the fan community platform Weverse, Jungkook interacted with ARMYs worldwide.
Upon hearing that ARMYs had created a fan song called “Love Letters” for BTS, Jungkook was visibly surprised and moved. He discovered the music video and couldn’t contain his emotions, exclaiming, “Wow, what is this?” while covering his mouth in astonishment.
As Jungkook listened to the song and watched the video, his voice trembled with emotion, and tears filled his eyes. Overwhelmed, he expressed his gratitude, saying, “This is so touching, really. ARMY, you sing so well. Thank you.” He wiped his tears away with his sleeves, touched by the fans’ heartfelt gesture.
After composing himself, Jungkook praised the song, admitting that he didn’t know about it before and wondered why he hadn’t heard it earlier. As the song ended, he clapped and exclaimed, “Really, thank you so much. It’s the best. ARMY is amazing. I feel so happy. I don’t usually cry, but wow, I couldn’t help it. Anyway, thank you so much,” while giving a thumbs up.
Jungkook promised to memorize the song and sing it in the future, expressing that ARMYs are like family, friends, and love that he can’t fully describe. He cherished the precious memories created with ARMYs through this heartfelt gift.
On a separate note, Jungkook recently released his first solo single “Seven” on the 14th of June, which immediately topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart, becoming the 68th song to achieve such an accomplishment. “Seven” also reached number one on the Global 200 and Global Excluding US charts. He is set to perform “Seven” on SBS’s “Inkigayo” on the 30th.
