BLACKPINK’s Comeback album which was originally announced for some time in June isn’t happening like fans had imagined.
Previously, YG Entertainment confirmed that BLACKPINK were set to come back with a new release in June of 2020, the exact date wasn’t announced. Fans were over the moon because they had been demanding a BLACKPINK comeback for the longest time.
However, that statement seems to have changed. On May 18, YG Entertainment released a new statement announcing that the comeback isn’t in June as stated, but BLACKPINK will drop a pre-release single in June.
YG stated,
“BLACKPINK has finished recording all of their new songs with more than 10 songs completed for the first full-length album.”
YG also stated that BLACKPINK members are preparing to shoot for the MV and more activities as part of their upcoming releases.
This will be following by plans for releasing new content starting from June, they will also release new songs sometime between July and August but couldn’t give the exact dates due to ‘internal circumstances.’ The official album will drop in September of 2020.
The album will be a full length album, the first one for BLACKPINK.
Fans are happy to learn that BLACKPINK will finally release a full length album but are still feeling restless by YG’s new statement. Instead of the promised album release in June, its been pushed back to September. Fans expressed their worries because they stated they can’t trust YG’s schedule.
