So Ji Sub, Heo Jun Ho, Gong Myung, Cha Seung Won And More Confirmed For 2024 Netflix Noir Drama
Actors So Ji Sub, Heo Jun Ho, Ahn Gil Kang, Lee Beom Soo, Gong Myung, Choo Young Woo, Jo Han Chul, Cha Seung Won, and Lee Joon Hyuk have been confirmed to appear in the Netflix noir action series “Mercy for None.”
On the 27th of October, Netflix revealed the lineup of actors appearing in the noir action series “Mercy for None.” “Mercy for None” is a noir action series based on the webtoon of the same name. It tells the story of Ji-soon (played by So Ji Sub), who left the underworld after cutting off his own Achilles tendon, returning after 11 years to uncover the mastermind behind his younger brother Gi-seok’s (played by Lee Joon Hyuk) death and seek revenge.
So Ji Sub, who was mentioned as the top choice for the role of Ji-soon in fans’ casting choices, will appear as Ji-soon, who returns to the underworld after his brother’s death. So Ji Sub returns to the noir action genre after 11 years since the film ‘A Company Man’ and embarks on a cold and ruthless journey of revenge. The intense action he will unfold under the name of revenge is also a point of anticipation.
Lee Joon Hyuk will make a special appearance as Ji-soon’s younger brother Gi-seok. After his brother’s departure, Gi-seok became the second-in-command of the organization he belonged to, Joon-woo, but he becomes the trigger of an incident when he encounters a suspicious death. The roles of Lee Joo-woon, the representative of the organization Joon-woo, and Gu Bong-san, the leader of Bongsan in competition with Joo-woon, are played by Heo Jun Ho and Ahn Gil Kang, respectively, who are synonymous with strong presence.
Gong Myung plays the role of Joon-mo, the successor to Bongsan, who also became a corporation in the organization that divided Seoul with Joo-woon. Choo Young Woo is the son of Ju-woon and a current prosecutor, who keeps his distance from the organization, but who brings tension to the case with his undirected ambition.
Lee Beom Soo plays Shim Sung-won, the representative of Encline, who is responsible for the aftermath and resolution of the incidents involving Gi-seok’s death. Jo Han Chul plays Sung-cheol, the right-hand man who serves Joo-woon, the boss, from the closest distance. Cha Seung Won makes a strong appearance as Kim Sun-saeng, who exists for the coexistence of the two organizations.
The series is produced by Yong Film, which has produced films such as ‘Take Point 2’, ‘The 20th Century Girl’, ‘Call’, ‘Take Point’, and ‘Beauty Inside’, as well as the Netflix series ‘Sweet Home’, and Studio N, which has produced ‘Stranger from Hell’. The series is directed by Choi Sung Eun.
The drama is slated to be released in 2024.
