Looks like the rumors we’re getting a “Hospital Playlist” prequel were false!
tvN’s director Shin Won Ho is making a comeback with a new drama. However, it has been reported that it will not be in the format of a prequel as previously speculated.
On the 1st of June, tvN stated, “It is not true that a prequel for ‘Hospital Playlist’ is being produced.”
tvN drew a clear line by stating, “It is true that director Shin Wonho is planning a new drama as a creator. However, it is not a prequel or spin-off of ‘Hospital Playlist. It is still in the early planning stages, so we cannot provide detailed information at this time.”
On the same day, a media outlet reported that director Shin Wonho would participate as the creator of a prequel series of ‘Hospital Playlist’ that depicts the university days when Ikjun, Songhwa, Junwan, Jeongwon, and Seokhyung formed the band “Mido and Falasol” before becoming doctors.
“Hospital Playlist” series, which started in March 2020, is a medical drama series created by director Shin Wonho. It portrays the everyday lives of people living in a hospital, who seem ordinary but have extraordinary stories, and the chemistry of longtime friends who have been together for 20 years. It starred Jo Jung Suk, Jeon Mido, Jung Kyung Ho, Yoo Yeon Seok, and Kim Dae Myung.
