The production team of KBS2’s new Monday-Tuesday drama ‘Fantasy Lovers’ (written by Yoon Kyung-a, directed by Lee Jung-seop) announced on the 17th of October the casting news of Park Ji Hoon and Hong Ye Ji.
Park Ji Hoon will play the role of Prince Hyun, who possesses two different personalities, and Hong Ye Ji will take on the role of Yeon-wol, a killer who becomes a concubine.
Based on a popular webtoon of the same name, ‘Fantasy Lovers’ is a fantasy historical romance drama that tells the story of a man with two contrasting personalities and the woman who loves him, overcoming innocent love and relentless obsession. The drama will unfold the eventful and heartwarming story of a concubine who finds herself at a crossroad after encountering a prince with two personalities.
Park Ji Hoon’s character is a visually attractive and intelligent character with a natural sense of aesthetics. He hides his true identity and works as a fashion designer in a dark and mysterious costume room. He also carries the pain from his childhood, inflicted by his oppressive father. On the other hand, his alter ego possesses a charm that captivates people effortlessly but suffers from excruciating pain whenever he engages in physical contact.
Hong Ye Ji, who will lead the drama alongside Park Ji Hoon, plays the role of Yeon-wol, the fallen princess of the Yeon clan. As the illegitimate daughter of a group, she grew up in an assassin group. However, one day, she becomes the concubine Eun Hyobi without her knowledge, leading to a tumultuous story.
The heartwarming fantasy historical romance drama ‘Fantasy Lovers,’ which will take responsibility for KBS2’s new year, is scheduled to air in January 2024.
