SBS’s new drama “National Death Penalty Vote” (Screenwriter Cho Yoon Young, Director Park Shin Woo, Producer Fan Entertainment Co., Ltd., Studio S) is a police truth-hunting drama that starts with a nationwide death penalty vote for malicious criminals who have cleverly escaped the blind spot of the law and questions the definition of the death penalty law. “National Death Penalty Vote” is based on a popular webtoon of the same name serialized on the Kakao Webtoon and Kakao Page. It is recording about 130 million views with an interesting setting and tension-filled storytelling based on the national death penalty vote.
On December 27th, the lineup of three leading actors who will lead the “National Death Penalty Vote” has been revealed. Park Hae Jin (as Kim Moo Chan), Park Sung Woong (as Kwon Seok Joo), and Lim Ji Yeon (as Joo Hyeon) are the main characters.
Park Hae Jin plays the role of Kim Moo Chan, the head of the 1st team of the Southern Police Agency’s regional investigation unit. Kim Moo Chan is the youngest person to have been the team leader of the Nambu Office’s Gwangsudae team as a master of special diagnosis who makes everything his own if he wants to be involved in an incident. Park Hae Jin is an actor who combines excellent acting skills and topicality as well as the best charm to steal attention. Expectations are high on how Park Hae Jin’s acting, which differs in colour depending on the work and character, will draw the dynamic yet deep character Kim Moo Chan.
Park Sung Woong plays Kwon Seok Joo, who kills the criminal who raped his 8-year-old daughter, turns himself in, and is serving a long term in prison.
