Actor Oh Jung Se‘s agency has revealed their stance on the car accident.
On the 20th of October, the representative of Oh Jung Se’s agency confirmed the news and explained further the situation about the horrific car accident.
On the 18th, at 6:58 p.m., a van traveling on the second lane of a road in Bure-myeon, Geumsan-gun, Chungnam, collided with a cultivator ahead. In this accident, the husband in his 60s who was driving the cultivator died, and his wife was also seriously injured and transferred to a hospital.
According to the police, actor Oh Jung Se was onboard the van. Oh Jung Se and the driver in his 40s, Mr. A, also suffered minor injuries and received treatment at a hospital.

Before we officially announce the company’s position to those who are waiting for the agency’s statement regarding the traffic accident in Geumsan, Chungnam on October 18th, we would like to ask for your understanding.
– Upon hearing the news of the company vehicle’s traffic accident on the 18th, including the representative, the employees went to the scene. The driver of the accident vehicle was investigated by the police, and actor Oh Jung Se, who was a passenger, received examination and treatment at the hospital. We have listened to the driver’s story and checked the footage of the accident, among other things. Unfortunately, one person lost their life in this accident, which overshadowed our intention to take swift and appropriate measures without fully grasping the severity of the accident. Since then, the victim has been regarded as more important than anything else.
– It is said that the focus on the actor, who was the passenger in this accident, is causing more difficulties for the family, rather than being an example for the deceased.
We also believe that this incident should not be discussed primarily with the actor who was the passenger. However, since the driver is an employee of our company and the incident occurred during work, we will faithfully fulfill our legal responsibilities based on the presence and extent of negligence that will be revealed after the investigation. It seems that the company’s official position can only be conveyed after the investigation is completed.
