Ted Sarandos expressed his anticipation for ‘Squid Game 2’.
Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos visited the Netflix Seoul office on the afternoon of the 16th of February and spoke at an event.
On this day, Ted Sarandos announced, “Last year, programs like ‘The Glory’ caused a worldwide frenzy, and this year, ‘Physical: 100’ and ‘Squid Game 2’ will return in the next season.”
He added, “I haven’t been to the set of ‘Squid Game 2’ yet, so I’m really looking forward to going this time. I’m really excited to see what kind of world and games director Hwang Dong Hyuk will recreate there.”
Ted Sarandos also expressed his hope that ‘Squid Game 2’ will go beyond season 1. He said, “Season 2 will be amazing. The script is great, and there will be fun new games.”
However, he dismissed rumors about David Fincher directing the American version of ‘Squid Game’, calling it a rumor.
Meanwhile, Ted Sarandos’ official visit is his first in about 8 months since the ‘Netflix and Korean Content Story’ event held in Seoul in June last year.
