Netflix Unveils Unique Character Posters Of Upcoming Drama “The Glory”

Netflix unveils the character posters of the whole cast of the highly anticipated drama “The Glory.”

On December 22, the Netflix series “The Glory,” which tells the story of a woman whose soul gets shattered due to violence during her childhood, who has carefully prepared her whole life for revenge and falls into the whirlpool, is drawing attention by releasing posters of nine characters on the cold and hot revenge path.

The released character poster captures the various emotions of those who have endured the time of the night in “The Glory” and those who have lived their lives in turmoil against the backdrop of ‘The Devil’s Morning Flower,’ which symbolizes their desire to protest against God. First of all, the cold and hot face of the victim’s regiment, consisting of Dong Eun (played by Song Hye Kyo), Yeo Jung (played by Lee Do Hyun), and Hyun Nam (played by Yeom Hye Ran), catches attention.

The poster released for the main character Dong Eun is along with the lines “For you who will fall for me who will be corrupt” is a line from the letter Dong Eun delivers to Yeon Jin in the drama. Writer Kim Eun Sook said, “Dong Eun’s tone reading the letter is calm, but everything in it is a scream. I wanted to show Dong Eun’s wounds that do not heal over time.” Song Hye Kyo making fans look forward to Song Hye Kyo’s cold and pain striven acting, said, “I wanted to make it feel like I was whispering right next to Yeon Jin through narration. I felt joy when I saw my performance on the monitor and felt that I had that expression.”

While on the other poster released, Yeo Jung and Hyun Nam to help Dong Eun get revenge along with the lines, “I’ll do it.” Who do you want to kill first? I want to be on the same side. Please kill them.”  Lee Do Hyun, who expressed the journey of the character as “a character that is unclear but has something certain,” forms a solidarity or love relationship with Dong Eun in the drama. Director Ahn Giil Ho set up the relationship between the two, saying, “Dong Eun and Yeo Jong are people who live with great scars, and I think there will be bright parts when the two meet, but there will be many lonely sides.”

Hyun Nam also becomes a “glory” to Dong Eun as a helper who is deeply in solidarity with Dong Eun with his wounds. Yeom Hye Ran raising expectations for the hot solidarity between the two will bring, said, “Dong Eun is the first of all characters to show a sincere smile to Hyun Nam. I can feel the humanity and warmth that inevitably comes out while standing firmly, and it’s a really touching moment.”

Attention is also focused on the perpetrator group, which is the object of cold revenge. The innocent lines of Park Yeon Jin (played by Lim Ji Yeon), Jeon Jae Joon (played by Park Sung Hoon), Lee Sa Ra (played by Kim Hi Ra), Choi Hye Jung (played by Cha Joo Young), and Son Myung Oh (played by Kim Gun Woo) stimulate the anger of prospective viewers. At the same time, the anxious face of the perpetrator group, contrary to the lines, raises questions about how desperate and cruel Dong Eun’s planned bloody revenge will be.

Writer Kim Eun Sook and director Ahn Gil Ho said, “Watching when and from whom they are punished is a big point of view.”  Writer Kim Eun Sook said, “You will feel catharsis in the process of fighting and destroying,” director Ahn Gil Ho, signaled the class that exists within the perpetrator group and the mean and servile bare faces of those to survive. Meanwhile, Ha Do Young (played by Jung Sung Il), who faces his wife Yeon Jin’s Pandora box, also shows falling into a vortex of revenge, raising questions about which direction the closely intertwined characters’ narratives will unfold.

Part 1 of “The Glory” will be released on December 30 and Part 2 will be released worldwide only through Netflix in March 2023.
