Actress Seo Ji Hye shared her thoughts on working with Jin Ki Joo in the drama “My Perfect Stranger” through a recent interview!

drama “My Perfect Stranger” is a drama that depicts the strange and beautiful time-traveling journey of two individuals trapped in 1987. The drama, which first aired on May 1st, recorded a peak viewer rating of 5.7% (based on Nielsen Korea nationwide) and concluded on the 20th.

Seo Ji Hye took on the role of the pure and sparkling literary girl, Lee Soo-ae, in the drama. From the beginning, she portrayed a pitiful image as she couldn’t say anything despite being tormented by Go Mi-sook (played by Ji Hae-won) and facing the crisis of having her dreams taken away. In the process of debuting as a novelist by giving Go Mi-sook a satisfying blow after stealing her manuscript, she displayed a determined gaze and meticulous details in her voice, showcasing her strong emotions.

Seo Ji-hye also had great chemistry with Jin Ki Joo. Both actors drew attention as they are graduates of Ewha Womans University’s Computer Science Department and Chung-Ang University’s Computer Science Department, respectively. Seo Ji Hye said, “It was really fascinating. I was surprised when I found out that we would be playing a mother and daughter at first. I already knew Jin Ki Joo through variety shows like ‘You Quiz on the Block,’ so I had a slight sense of familiarity. But I have a vivid memory of feeling excited as if it were a coincidence or destiny.”

She added, “Even in that state, Jin Ki Joo made me feel comfortable right away, and the internal familiarity turned into real-life intimacy. So I quickly became close with her.” Seo Ji-hye praised Jin Ki Joo, saying, “From the first shoot, she naturally led me. I was nervous when I went to the set, but she made me feel at ease by guiding me with her eyes. The picnic scene was so enjoyable, it felt like we were really on a picnic. The scenery was beautiful, and we had fun improvising and reacting to each other.”
