Actor Kim Woo Bin, who played characters 5-8 in the Netflix series “Black Knight,” revealed the behind-the-scenes story about his “smoking scenes” in the drama.

On the 17th, in a video interview with “Daily Sports,” Kim Woo Bin said, “Before ‘Delivery Driver,’ I filmed ‘Alien + Human,’ where I flew in the sky and shot beams. So, I had the confidence that I could do anything in front of a blue screen.”

He also mentioned, “However, it was still challenging. There is a difference between acting while seeing the environment with your own eyes and imagining it with drawings, so I received a lot of help from the team around me.”

In particular, the smoking scenes of characters 5-8 were entirely created using computer graphics (CG). Kim Woo Bin said, “When watching the broadcast, it looks so real, so I thought many people would be worried. Actually, Director Cho Yi-seok suggested removing the smoking element as it’s not good for health. But in my opinion, smoking suited the character of 5-8 well. So, I said I would try it with CG if it was possible to express it that way.”

Surprisingly, it is said that creating something without CG processing is easier. Kim Woo Bin said, “During filming, I calculated and acted, thinking that the smoke would reach this point and the ashes would fall at this point. I enjoyed the process of filming.”
