“The Glory” Actor Jung Sung Il could be leading his first drama very soon!
An entertainment industry official reported on the 13th to Sports Chosun, “Jung Sung Il has been chosen as the protagonist of the new drama ‘Protectors.'”
Protectors” is a work that tells the story of people who struggle in the last bastion to supplement incomplete laws. It is a drama that deals with electronic monitoring and probation officers for the first time in Korea, and is expected to provide a new perspective to the public by telling the story of probation officers who help, monitor, and detain prisoners.
Jung Sung Il was offered the role of Bok Tae-joo. Bok Tae-joo, an electronic monitor and probation officer, is a man with his own sense of justice who does not hesitate to put subjects with a high risk of re-committing crimes in prison by any means necessary. He is a figure known as the “executioner to prison” because he does not tolerate even minor faults of the subjects and sends them to prison immediately if there is any room for it.
