The drama “Daily Dose Of Sunshine” has held its press conference recently!
On the morning of the 1st of November, a production presentation for the Netflix original series “Daily Dose of Sunshine” was held. The event was attended by actors Park Bo Young, Yeon Woo Jin, Jang Dong Yoon, Lee Jung Eun, and director Lee Jae Kyu.
“Daily Dose of Sunshine” is a Netflix series that portrays various stories of the world and troubled people in a mental hospital that nurse Daeun, who is working in the department of mental health, encounters.
The actors Park Bo Young, Lee Jung Eun, Jang Dong Yoon, and Yeon Woo Jin were able to work together more closely, as they had previously worked together. Lee Jung Eun and Park Bo Young, who rekindled their partnership after the TVN drama “Oh My Ghost” (2015), found their collaboration very reassuring. Park Bo Young expressed her feelings, saying, “It was really solid. Just having a conversation made me happy and enjoyable.”
Lee Jung Eun commented, “Ms. Park Bo Young is the same as back then. I think I’ve gotten a few wrinkles. Back then, I had a baby-like feeling, but now it feels like I’m looking at a grown-up actor. I admit that this person is playing the leading role.”
Director Lee said, “Their friendship remains the same in the drama, and their acting ensemble feels like they’ve been working together for 10 to 15 years.”
Yeon Woo Jin, who reunited with Jang Dong Yoon after OCN’s drama “Search” (2020), commented, “I felt more pressure when we met for the second time than when we first met. Now, there are things I need to be more careful about, so I was nervous about those things. I wondered how I could show myself differently. But he embraced me with a bigger heart than mine, and I was grateful for that.”
He also added, “In our previous work, we had a strong narrative and emotional bond, and we were able to carry that over, which I was grateful for. I hope that in this new work, we can continue to be colleagues who can walk together.”
Jang Dong Yoon, who played the role of Yeochan, said, “In ‘Search,’ he played my father. We had a very close relationship internally, so it was great to act together.” He expressed his gratitude, saying, “I’m happy that we have a chemistry as good as a senior and a big brother in this new work.”
In the drama, Park Bo Young finds herself in a love triangle between Jang Dong Yoon and Yeon Woo Jin. Yeon Woo Jin explained, “Yoochan (played by Jang Dong Yoon) tells me that ‘he has a past that I don’t have.’ I have the confidence and courage to go forward, and I tried to express that.”
Jang Dong Yoon mentioned, “Yoochan is an old friend, and the charm point is that he tries to break up and make a fuss as a friend.”
“Daily Dose of Sunshine” has been released on Netflix earlier today.
