ive’s agency starship entertainment announced rei’s health condition and temporary activity suspension through ive’s official fan cafe on the afternoon of april 11th.
according to the agency, rei recently felt symptoms such as chest palpitations and difficulty breathing. she visited a hospital for consultation and examination. as a result, the medical staff recommended treatment and stability.
the agency stated, “based on the opinion of a specialized medical institution, we have decided to temporarily suspend rei’s activities for health recovery after sufficient discussion with rei. we ask for your generous understanding regarding the decision that prioritizes the artist’s health. we will inform you again of any further changes.”
they continued, “we apologize for causing concern to fans with the sudden news, and we will do our best to allow rei to concentrate on treatment and take a rest. we ask for a lot of support from fans for rei’s quick recovery.”
ive, which rei belongs to, debuted with their first full-length album ‘i’ve ive’ on the 10th.
rei was unable to attend the press conference talk and q&a held on the day of the album release due to health problems.
