Dr. Phil has found himself in a sticky situation with BTS fandom, the ARMY.
Recently, Dr. Phil invited the obsessed BTS Jimin fan, Oli London, on his show to discuss his obsession with looking like BTS’s Jimin. He had undergone numerous surgeries to look like Jimin and even recently married a cutboard of Jimin [you read that right].

While fans have contrasting opinions about Oli London, the spotlight was on Dr. Phil this time because of his remarks while consulting the big BTS Jimin fan.
He said,
“And you have to know that the somebody else you’re wanting to be is not really who that person appears to be. That’s a manufactured, marketed image.”
Some ARMY didn’t react nicely to what Dr. Phil said, some think he’s referring to Jimin himself, while others think he’s referring to the overall Kpop image not Jimin in particular.
ARMY took to twitter to express their disappointment with Dr. Phil remarks and some discussed what they think of the situation; here are some of their opinions.

I’m actually not surprised about what Dr.Phill said about Jimin. Jimin ain’t the only one he dehumanized. Literally everyone that’s on his show he publically humiliates and dehumanizes. You would think the best way to resolve personal issues you have with someone is privately.

Well, to a level Dr. Phil is right.. Public image is not the same as their real personality.. But Jimin is NOT a ‘manufactured, marketed product’! We know our idols pretty well.. At least, those who are a good judge of character can tell.. The people who look past outer appearances..
