SHINee’s Jonghyun was a close friend of Girls Generation Taeyeon. The two basically grew up together as labelmates in SM Entertainment. Both idols are known to be close friends.
Taeyeon was taken back when she found out that one of her close friends had passed away on December 18. Many fans knew that the idol would be suffering because she was especially close to him.
On December 19, it was reported that Taeyeon had arrived to the memorial service to pay respect to the late singer. She also posted a heartfelt emotional letter to her good friend Jonghyun.
She wrote,
“It was you, and even if another you had existed, everyone would still love you.
I want to like you, love you, and encourage you, I want to give you a hug once more. It was something I couldn’t do, and I am so sorry, I am regretting the opportunity I missed.
Our precious unfortunate jonghyun, our Jonghyun who I still feel like will answer Yes! In a high tone If I called him by phone, I miss you so much! I I’m sorry I didn’t embrace you enough. I love you and thank you.
I remember everything you said when you told me you wrote and thought of me while writing “lonely.” We’re alike. We resemble each other. We know the feelings.
Kim Jong Hyun is the most unique, wonderful and special artist in my life. I miss you so much and I want to hold your hand.
