TXT Becomes The First K-Pop Group To Headline Lollapalooza + NewJeans Confirmed To Perform
TXT achieves a new feat again!
TXT has been invited as a headliner to the big U.S. music festival Lollapalooza. On March 21, Lollapalooza announced this year’s lineup on their official social media, and TXT was also listed there. TXT, who first took the stage of Lollapalooza last year, is the first K-pop group to appear for two consecutive years, as well as to become a headliner a year after their debut at the North American festival.
At the time of Lollapalooza held in July last year, TXT impressed North American fans with their powerful and magnificent live band sound and harmonious vocals. Meanwhile, NewJeans will also be making their U.S. music festival debut at Lollapalooza 2023, making them the first female K-pop artist ever to perform at the event.
Lollapalooza, a large outdoor festival held annually in Chicago, USA, is a 30-year-old historic festival that has featured musicians such as Paul McCartney, Metallica, and Coldplay. This year, it will be held from August 3 to 6.
Meanwhile, TXT will hold a total of 23 performances in 13 cities with their second world tour “ACT: SWEET MIRAGE.” The first performance to announce the start will be held at the Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium in Songpa-gu, Seoul, from March 25 to March 26. The performance will also be live streaming online.
