The film “Dear Jinri” which contains the last interview of the late Sulli, will be premiered for the first time at the 28th Busan International Film Festival.

The press conference for the 28th Busan International Film Festival was held online on the afternoon of the 5th of September. Noh Dong-cheol, the chief programmer, and Kang Seung-a, the co-executive director, attended as the acting executive director and the acting operating director, respectively.

According to Noh Dong-cheol, the chief programmer, ““Dear Jinri” which includes Sulli’s last interview, is scheduled to be premiered at this year’s Busan International Film Festival.

“Dear Jinri” which was known as “Persona: Sulli” was a project that started filming in the second half of 2019 with the goal of release in 2020. “Persona” Season 1 is an omnibus film in which four directors express singer-actor IU from different perspectives, and Sulli was cast as the protagonist of Season 2, following her close friend IU.

Although Sulli was in the middle of filming two out of the five works, filming was suspended when she suddenly passed away in October 2019.

While Netflix had previously mentioned that discussions regarding the release schedule were underway, it was announced that the film will be premiered at the 28th Busan International Film Festival. It is reported that the episode featuring Sulli as the protagonist and in-depth interview content are included.

The 28th Busan International Film Festival will be held from October 4th to 13th at the Busan Cinema Center.
