It has been reported that former singer and convicted sex offender Jung Joon Young, who served a prison sentence for group sexual assault, is taking steps towards resuming his music career.

According to a report from one media outlet on the 22nd of May, Jung Joon Young recently met with music industry officials and expressed his desire to continue his music career as a producer, hinting at a comeback to the entertainment industry.

According to insiders, after his release from prison, Jung Joon Young seems to be aware of the negative public reaction and is seeking a fresh start as a music producer rather than a singer. It is said that he couldn’t let go of his passion for music and directly contacted industry officials to propose collaborating on music activities.

With the recent release of a documentary on the 2019 Club Burning Sun incident by the BBC in the UK, there has been a growing interest in Jung Joon Young’s current situation after his release.

Amidst various stories surrounding Jung Joon Young, including his reported preparations for immigration, attention is now focused on his moves regarding his music career.

Meanwhile, in January and March 2016, Jung Joon-young and others were involved in the group sexual assault of women, including Burning Sun former MD Kim, company employee Kwon, and entertainment agency former employee Heo, and illegally filmed the acts.

Following this, he was convicted of distributing the footage in the infamous ” Jung Joon Young chatroom” that involved not only him but also Seungri and was sentenced to five years in prison and has been in custody since then. He was released in March of this year when his sentence ended.

Jung Joon Young has become a central figure in the shocking sexual crime case and has practically been expelled from the entertainment industry.
