Artists who caught the global attention in 2022 will appear at the “30th Anniversary Hanteo Music Awards 2022” award ceremony.
Hanteo Global Co., Ltd., the organizer of the Hanteo Music Awards, unveiled the second lineup of performers of the 30th Anniversary Hanteo Music Awards 2022. Artists such as Younha, STAYC, Youngtak, Kep1er, Yuju, fromis_9, DreamCatcher, EVERGLOW, Billie, and JUST B have confirmed their appearance.
Younha, who is becoming popular since late last year, will be joining. Younha continued to climb the music charts with the title track “The Horizon of Events,” from her sixth full-length repackage album released in March.
STAYC, who achieved a career high by surpassing 200,000 copies in the first half with their third single album “WE NEED LOVE” released last year, will also appear. STAY has continued to meet global fans through their official debut in Japan and overseas fan meetings last year and is set to make a comeback in February.
Youngtak’s first full-length album “MMM,” which was released for the first time in 17 years since his debut, surpassed 520,000 copies. In addition, following the national tour, he has recently carried out overseas promotions such as in Indonesia and the Philippines, continuing his activities in the global market beyond Korea.
Kep1er, who received attention from global fans at the same time as their debut last year, will also appear. Kep1er showed explosive popularity with three albums released in Korea and their debut single released in Japan, ranking in domestic and international rankings and winning Rookie of the Year awards at many awards ceremonies.
Yuju announced her first start as a soloist in 2022 and showed a new look. In her first solo album, Yuju participated in writing and composing all tracks and steadily participated in various popular drama OSTs, proving her high musical capabilities.
fromis_9 who has been reborn as a ‘summer queens’ has also been joining the ceremony. fromis_9 achieved their initial career high with their fifth mini-album “from Our Mémento Box” released in June last year and was popular with active activities such as selling out all seats at their first solo concert since their debut.
DreamCatcher has been working nonstop throughout the year through domestic and international activities. With their second full-length album, they topped the music show for the first time, and since then, they have been busy through the release of their fourth mini-album, the U.S. tour, and the European tour, filling 2022.
Last year, EVERGLOW successfully performed overseas in Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, Japan, and Kazakhstan. They have continued their global move by captivating global fans with their solid skills and charm.
Billie received a lot of love through various albums last year. Billie, who achieved a career high on every album, has not only shown overwhelming growth but also established themselves as a global trend by being selected as the “2022 Best K-POP” album and music by leading media around the world, including England and the U.S. in recognition of theri musicality and unrivaled storytelling.
Just B rose last year by achieving their initial career high with their third mini album. They recently completed their first solo concert in South America held in Mexico, and was invited to TV and radio programs in Mexico one after another, drawing attention from global fans.
Following the first lineup, the announcement of the second lineup is expected to put a legendary stage at the Hanteo Music Awards.
Meanwhile, the 30th Anniversary Hanteo Music Awards 2022 is the first offline awards ceremony to mark the 30th anniversary of the Hanteo Chart, and is based on objective and accurate data from Hanteo Chart.
The Hanteo Music Awards will be held at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium on February 10 and 11. Domestic broadcasts will be exclusively broadcast live on SBS M and YouTube THE K-POP channels, while Japan will be broadcast exclusively on Mnet Japan and Mnet Smart+.
