EXO‘s winter song ‘First Snow’ has once again reached the top of the music charts after 10 years!
As of December 19, 2023, EXO’s ‘First Snow’ has topped the Melon TOP100 and daily charts, as well as ranking high on other major music charts such as Bugs, Flo, and Genie. The song has solidified its position as a “must-listen winter song” with its unique nostalgic and warm atmosphere.
Thus, EXO became one of only two boy groups this year to reach No. 1 on Melon’s TOP100 charts. This is also EXO’s 1st #1 song on MelOn Daily Chart since “Miracles In December” (2013).
EXO also becomes the first and only boy group to reach #1 on MelOn Daily Chart in 2023.
This year, it has gained popularity not only on music charts but also on short-form platforms with the emergence of the ‘First Snow Challenge,’ which involves simple movements along with the catchy chorus.
Leader Suho expressed his happiness after achieving 1st place on the charts after 10 years, stating that they were surprised at first when the ranking climbed due to the challenge, but now they are all enjoying it. He expressed gratitude and love to EXO-Ls, saying that everything is thanks to them. He also wished everyone a warm year-end while listening to ‘First Snow’ and promised to return with better music and performances next year.
‘First Snow’ is a track from EXO’s winter special album ‘Miracles in December,’ and it is an acoustic pop song that expresses the desire to go back in time and remember the first love who left a year ago on a winter day when the first snow falls.
