BTOB’s Sungjae Signs With New Agency After Leaving Cube Entertainment
BTOB’s Yook Sungjae has signed an exclusive contract with a drama production company.
According to an entertainment industry insider on the 22nd of December, Yook Sungjae recently signed an exclusive contract with I Will Media.
I Will Media is involved in producing and supplying broadcast programs, movies, as well as creating music and albums. Yook Sungjae, instead of pursuing a management career for singers, has decided to start a new chapter with a drama production company.
Later, a source from the agency confirmed the happy news and said they’d also be supporting his group activities.
Recently, BTOB’s contract with Cube Entertainment expired, and Lee Changsub signed with Fantagio, while Seo Eunkwang, Lee Minhyuk, Lim Hyunsik, and Peniel transferred to a new agency. Yook Sungjae, along with his manager who has been with him since his time at Cube Entertainment, will make a fresh start.
Yook Sungjae made his debut as a member of BTOB in 2012 and gained recognition for his acting skills through his appearance in a drama in 2013. He actively pursued both singing and acting, appearing in dramas such as “Who Are You: School 2015,” “Goblin,” “Mystic Pop-up Bar,” and more. He enlisted in the military in May 2020 and completed his mandatory service in November 2021.
