BLACKPINK’s Jisoo continues to set new records with her first solo release!

According to YG Entertainment, BLACKPINK’s agency, “ME” sold 1,172,351 copies from March 31 to April 6. This is not only the highest record for a solo female artist in K-pop history, but also the second-highest record for BLACKPINK following their second full-length album “THE ALBUM,” which sold 1.54 million copies.

YG predicted that the final sales figures for the “ME” LP version will increase even more since it has not been released yet. The title track “Rose” topped the iTunes Top Song Chart in 64 countries around the world, and entered 6th place, the highest rank ever achieved by a K-pop female solo artist, on the world’s largest music streaming platform, Spotify.

At the same time, BLACKPINK demonstrated their popularity as tickets for “THE SHOW,” which will be held at the Tokyo Dome on August 8-9, were sold out as soon as they went on sale. YG explained that “since this is BLACKPINK’s first Japanese concert in three years since 2020, expectations were high from fans.”

Congratulations to Jisoo!
