So Ji Sub In Talks For Upcoming Webtoon-Based Drama
Actor So Ji Sub is carefully considering appearing in the new drama “Square.”
According to a report by Star-News on February 7, So Ji Sub has received an offer to appear in the new drama ‘Square’ and is considering it. Since “Square” is currently in the early stages of production, it is rumored that So Ji Sub is carefully reviewing the script and deciding to appear. Later, a source from his agency confirmed the actor eas reviewing the offer but nothing was confirmed yet.
“Square” is based on a webtoon of the same name, and depicts the story of two gangs that fought for dominance in Seoul in front of the National Assembly Square in Yeouido in the past and survived the fight. It centrally depicts the life of the main character, who starts to dig into the secret due to his brother’s sudden death. Even at the time of the series, “Square” received favorable reviews for its fast-paced development, cool art style, and writing a new history of Korean noir. As the work is being produced as a drama, expectations by the original fans are also rising.
So Ji Sub debuted as a model in 1995 and appeared in a number of films such as “Sorry, I Love You,” “Cain and Abel,” “Road No. 1,” “My Secret Terrius,” “Doctor Lawyer,” and the movies Be With You,” and “Alienoid.” As So Ji Sub’s acting spectrum is wide, attention is being paid to what he will look like in the “Square.”
