Actor Lee Je Hoon has confirmed his appearance as Park Young Han in the MBC drama “Chief Investigator 1963 (tentative title)”.

MBC’s new drama “Chief Investigator 1963” (Director Kim Sung Hoon, Screenplay Kim Young Sin/Creator Park Jae Beom/Producer Barunson Studio Co., Ltd.) is an investigation drama, a prequel to “Chief Investigator” (set in the 1970s and ’80s) that has been loved as a national drama with the highest viewership rating of 70%. It is set in the 1960s, 10 years earlier than “Chief Investigator”.

Lee Je Hoon will play the youth of South Korea’s leading detective Park Young Han, who was loved by viewers, and played by national actor Choi Bul Am. If ‘Chief Park’, played by Choi Bul Am, was loved as a perfect detective, Lee Je Hoon’s young Park Young Han in “Chief Investigator 1963” is a detective who struggles with fury at the reality of trampling on human dignity. In addition, the fellow detectives who were loved in “Chief Investigator” will also cover the process of becoming a team with Chief Park.

The production team of “Chief Investigator 1963” said, “Park Young Han, a young man to be played by Lee Je Hoon, gives viewers who loved the existing “Chief Investigator” expectations of what kind of process Lee Je Hoon will go through to transform into a righteous Detective Chief Park. “Chief Investigator 1963” will give a thrill to viewers who love Park Young Han, and the character itself will convey the perfect charm.”

Lee Je Hoon has been active in dramas such as tvN’s “Signal”, SBS’ “Taxi Driver”, Netflix’s “Move to Heaven” and the films “Guardian”, “Architecture 101”, “Park Yeol”, and “I Can Speak”, shows sincere acting and is expanding his own domain.

Recently, in the SBS mini-series “Taxi Driver 2”, which recorded the highest viewer ratings this year, he demonstrated his acting as a popular actor beyond the main character. Expectations are high on how Lee J Hhoon, who is loved by the public for each work, will portray Captain Park, the absolute standard for detective characters in Korea.

Meanwhile, MBC’s retro crime investigation drama “Chief Detective 1963”’ is a story about detective Park Young Han and three unique colleagues who stand up to ugly crimes and become a detective for the people in the era of barbarism.
