Genie studio 2024 drama lineup is making headlines!
On April 29, KT Group’s media event introduced their highly anticipated drama lineup for this year. Let us go through the lineup!
Crash
“Crash,” starring Lee Min Ki, Kwak Sun Young and Heo Sung Tae, is set to air its first episode on May 13th. Directed by Park Joon-woo, the director of “Taxi Driver 1,” the drama is highly anticipated for its entertainment value. It tells the story of a traffic crime investigation team that goes unnoticed by everyone as they track down criminals on the chaotic roads.
Your Honor
The following drama, “Your Honor,” starring Son Hyun Joo and Kim Myung Min, portrays the intense battle between a judge who tries to conceal a case to protect his son and the leader of a criminal organization seeking revenge for the death of his own child. The two fathers’ roles are reversed as they fiercely confront each other.
Parole Judge Lee Han-shin
“Parole Judge Lee Han-shin,” starring Go Soo, Kwon Yuri, and Baek Ji Won, won the grand prize at the KT Studio Genie series competition. The drama revolves around Lee Han-shin, a parole judge who seeks revenge and wields the powerful authority to decide whether the released prisoners can adjust to society, as he carries out justice.
Tipsy Romance
“Tipsy Romance,” starring Kim Sejeong and Lee Jong Won, depicts a romance between a strong-minded woman, who used to be a part of a special forces unit that uncovers secrets, and a fine-tuned palate brew master, who breaks up with anyone who disrespects his favorite instant ramen.
Night of the Star
“Night of the Star” tells the story of Kang Soo Hyun, the president of an entertainment agency who is forced to leave the company and acquires Jin-woo, a long-term trainee, in place of her severance pay. It shows the chemistry Go Hyun Jung, a sharp mentor, and Ryeoun, a rebellious 19-year-old mentee.
To My Harry
“To My Harry” draws attention as it portrays the healing romance between Yoo Hae-ri, a news anchor who develops dissociative identity disorder due to her sister’s disappearance and the breakup with her long-term boyfriend, Hyun-oh. It features Shin Hye Sun and Lee Jin Wook in the lead roles.
