tvN’s new weekend drama “See You In My 19th Life” held its press conference recently, with director Lee Na Jeong, Shin Hye Sun, Ahn Bo Hyun, Ha Yoon Kyung, and Ahn Dong Gu in attendance.
Ahn Bo Hyun confessed his difficulties in appearing in a webtoon-based work, saying, “I unintentionally did a lot of works based on webtoon originals. When I was about to start my next project, I thought I should avoid works based on webtoons. It requires too much effort to synchronize with the original material, and there is always a possibility that it won’t work out, so I felt burdened. Regarding my character Moon Soo-ho, he also has inner pain, so I had concerns about whether I could absorb it well.”
Ahn Bo Hyun gained attention for losing 9kg (approximately 20 lbs) for his role as Moon Soo-ho. He said, “Since there was an existing webtoon, I tried my best to follow the art style. I tried to get rid of the weight I had and some of my muscles. I got confirmation from the director while losing weight. Fortunately, I was able to shed a bit of the image from my previous work, so I’m relieved.”
“See You In My 19th Life” premiered on tvN at 9:20 PM on the 17th of June.
