“The Golden Spoon” had its first script reading with all the cast members revealing the drama’s premiere date.
MBC’s new Friday and Saturday drama “The Golden Spoon” is based on the popular Naver webtoon of the same name as a life-adventure story that changed fate with a friend born in a rich family through a golden spoon that comes to a child born in a poor family accidentally.
This will mark Yook Sungjae’s first drama comeback following his military discharge, he’s taking on the role of Lee Seung Chun, who dreams of turning his life around with the titular golden spoon.
Lee Jong Won is taking on the role of Hwang Tae Yong, the rich friend of Lee Seung Chun, his father runs a large company, he switches lives with Lee Seung Chun.
Director Song Hyun Wook, Writers Yoon Eun Kyung and Kim Eun Hee of the drama “The Golden Spoon,” as well as Yook Sung Jae (who plays Lee Seung Cheon), Lee Jong Won (who plays Hwang Tae Yong), Jung Chae Yeon (who plays Na Joo Hee), and Yeonwoo (who plays Oh Yeo Jin), Choi Won Young (who plays Hwang Hyun Do), Son Yeo Eun ( who plays Han Chae Jin) were part of the script reading.
Prior to the start of the script reading, director Song Hyun Wook said, “I think we have to fight with the hot weather, but I hope we can considerate to each other and encourage each other to finish the work well.”
“The Golden Spoon” is set to premiere in September.
