Halsey, Lauv, MAX, Steve Aoki And Zara Larsson Speak Up In Defense Of BTS After German Radio Host Racist Remarks

Many singers from all around the world are showing support to BTS after the racist remarks of German radio host Matthias Matuschik went viral.

The radio host was under massive fire after he compared BTS to the virus and cursed them for their cover of his favorite band song “Fix You” by Coldplay. The radio station initially doubled down on his stance and defended him but later issued a second statement apologizing for the issue, the host has also issued an apology that was met with mixed responses.

As many people in the Asian community are suffering racist attacks due to misinformation about COVID-19 spread, this became the center of discussion about how Asians continue to suffer because of racist people.

American singers MAX, Lauv, and Halsey also spoke up in defense of BTS through their social media. Here is what they said:

Steve Aoki who also collaborated with BTS in the past has also spoken up about the issue. Aara Larsson also stood up for the band. All of these celebrities have worked in the past with BTS and have good relationships with them.
