DAY6 Members Military Enlistment And Discharge Dates, Checkout The Full Timeline

It’s DAY6 members’ time to serve in the military!

Military service is mandatory in South Korea, meaning all able Korean men must serve their country, this law extends to Kpop idols as well. Every able Korean man must serve their country before they become 28 years old [international age].

Today, we’re taking a look at the full DAY6 members’ military enlistment date. The below article includes the members’ enlistment and discharge dates.

DAY6 members who have been discharged from the military: Sungjin, Young K , Dowoon, Wonpil

Sungjin [discharged]

Even though Sungjin isn’t the oldest member in his group, but he surprised fans by becoming the first to enlist in the military.

Sungjin enlistment date: March 8, 2021

Sungjin discharge date: September 6, 2022

Young K [discharged]

Young K announced his military enlistment plans via a V Live broadcast. On October 12 of 2021, Young K enlisted in the military after that.

Young K enlistment date: October 12, 2021

Young K discharge date: April 11, 2023

Dowoon [discharged]

Dowoon is the youngest member of his group, he was born in 1995. Dowoon enlisted in the military band in January and enlisted so soon to minimize DAY6’s hiatus period due to enlistment, he’s the 3rd member of his group to do so.

Dowoon enlistment date: January 17, 2022

Dowoon discharge date: July 16, 2023

Wonpil [discharged]

In early 2022, Wonpil held a V Live broadcast and announced the news of his enlistment directly to fans. In late 2023, the idol became the last member of his group to be discharged from the military, hence, the group has reunited again after wrapping up their military enlistment duties.

Wonpil enlistment date: March 28, 2022

Wonpil discharge date: 27 November 2023

Former Members

Jae [not enlisting]

Jae is the oldest member of his group, born in 1992, however, he won’t enlist in the military. He was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and is Korean-American. Jae is not a South Korean citizen, thus, he’s not serving in the military
