“SKY Castle” Overtakes “Goblin” To Become The Highest Rated Cable Drama In Korean History

JTBC’s hit family drama “SKY Castle” has broken yet another record!

The wonder-drama that started out with 1% in viewership ratings with its first episode quickly rose in popularity due to its intriguing plot that deals with heavy social issues in South Korea.





The drama previously broke the record to become the highest rated JTBC drama in all of its history and has now reached the 20% mark meaning they broke tvN’s hit drama “Goblin” record.

“Goblin” was the highest rated cable drama, its final episode rated 18.7% nationwide according to Nielsen Korea. January 19 episode of “SKY Castle” recorded a whopping 22.3% in viewership ratings according to Nielsen Korea making it the highest rated drama in all of cable channels history.





It’s also the highest rated cable show in general for all cable channels for drama and non-drama category.

Next week will be “SKY Castle” last week, it will air its 19th and 20th episode on January 25 and 26 at 11 p.m. KST.
