According to the music distribution company Genie Music on the 26th of June, ZEROBASEONE’s debut album ‘Youth in the Shade,’ which started pre-orders on the 21st, recorded approximately 780,000 pre-orders in just five days. With this, ZeroBaseOne has set a new record for the highest number of pre-orders for a debut album by a K-pop group.
Stock pre-orders is the number of stock albums that are produced prior to an album’s release. The number is an estimate to calculate the demand for the album, it uses various factors including how many albums were pre-ordered by fans. The album orders come from regions all over the world.
ZEROBASEONE has already shown a remarkable rise in popularity on their official social media accounts and demonstrated the impact of a “beyond rookie” status. Within just six days of forming their debut group, they surpassed one million followers on their official Instagram account, becoming the first rookie K-pop group to achieve this milestone within a week.
Receiving global attention even before their debut, ZEROBASEONE is set to release their debut album ‘Youth in the Shade’ on July 10.
