Yulhee Discusses With A Lawyer About Taking Choi Minhwan To Court Over Custody
Yulhee has consulted a lawyer after revealing her plans to take him Choi Minhwan to court.
On the 5th of November, TV Chosun’s Now Alone released a pre-release video titled, “Why did Yulhee visit a law office?”
The video shows Yulhee visiting divorce attorney Shin Eun Sook. She shared, “I came to consult a lawyer to find a way to live with my children.”
Yulhee explained, “We filed for divorce in September last year, and the divorce was finalized in December. We have three children, and custody went to my ex-husband. At that time, we agreed that I would have visitation rights with the children freely, and that alimony, division of assets, and compensation would be set at zero.”
The lawyer asked, “Where did you record the agreement to forgo alimony and division of assets?” Yulhee replied, “It wasn’t written down; we reached a verbal agreement.”
Yulhee further stated, “I wanted joint custody, but the court decided it would be better for custody to be given to one side, so it was organized for their father to have full custody,” adding, “But now, I want to regain custody.”
The lawyer explained, “Joint custody can be inconvenient unless the children have significant assets, and having joint custody doesn’t necessarily grant more rights. Typically, custody and guardianship are granted to one person.”
The issue erupted after Choi’s ex-wife Yulhee publicly exposed the allegations through her YouTube channel on the 24th of October. She shared a recorded conversation showing Choi’s alleged involvement in such establishments.
In response, FNC Entertainment issued a statement on the 25th to announce his hiatus for the time being, he also stepped down from The Return of Superman. As a result, police are also set to investigate the idol.
