For the past couple of days, rumors have been forming about BLACKPINK Jisoo and Son Heung Min and YG has finally stepped up to clarify the rumors and deny them.
A couple of days ago, netizens began to speculate that Jisoo and Son Heung Min were a couple. A couple of years ago, Jisoo attended a match played by the football player at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium in London. What stirred the rumors was the news that Son Heung Min arrived in Korea via Incheon International Airport on October 5, the reports stated that instead of flying back from London, he flew back from Paris.
At the time, Jisoo had been in Paris and had gone back to Korea on the same day too. Some netizens began to connect them together and assume they’re dating. Some netizens also argued they both wore a couple’s bracelets that are known among their fans especially Son Heung Min’s fans as he’s known for kissing his bracelet to celebrate scoring a goal.
The rumors have been trending for the past couple of days and some netizens began to take YG’s silence as a sign that the rumors might be true after all.
On October 10, YG Entertainment issued an official statement to deny the news. YG stated,
“It is clear that all romance rumors related to BLACKPINK Jisoo are groundless.
We have been monitoring the situation closely. However, as rumors spread overseas, we are concerned about the damage it could cause to our artist, so we would like to correct the wrong reports.
We sincerely ask you to refrain from groundless speculations.”
