YG Entertainment announced its position regarding the drug rumors of BLACKPINK rosé.
on april 13th, yg entertainment, blackpink’s agency, told newsen, “the rumors related to blackpink rosé that are spreading in some online communities and social media are clearly false.”
“we are taking legal action against acts that violate the human rights of our artists and undermine their reputation,” the agency said, “we are currently monitoring rumors generation and dissemination, and we will respond strongly without any leniency or agreement in the future.”
on april 12th, rumors that blackpink started circulating, mainly in china. chinese entertainment media, such as sina entertainment news, also reported on suspicion of rosé’s drug use.
previously, a former creative director of a brand released a photo of enjoying a party with several people, including rosé. some chinese netizens who saw this photo pointed out the black and white ashtray on the table and raised suspicion of drug use, and the rumor quickly spread on social media.
