YG Entertainment has issued a statement asking fans not to visit Gdragon, Taeyang and Daesung bases once they’re discharged.

For the past two days, various Korean news outlets began reporting about VIPs arranging events to see Gdragon, Taeyang and Daesung upon their military discharge.

Various VIPs accounts reported people in the range of 1000s signing up to those events. Unfortunately, these events might not be happening due to YG’s recent statement.

The agency issued a statement to all VIPs on BIGBANG official website asking fans not to visit the bases due to the African swine fever virus,

“Hello, this is YG Entertainment.

This is a notice regarding the discharges of G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung in October and November.

The military bases where G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung are serving are located in border territory where the African swine fever (ASF) virus has been detected.

In order to help prevent spreading of the virus, the quarantine system is being strengthened, visiting the area is not recommended.”

YG also explains that Civil authorities also requested extra caution around those areas and thus YG asked fans to refrain from visiting the discharge location to prevent spreading of the virus which could end up hurting fans and many others as well.

Gdragon is set to be discharged on October 26, that’s three days from now, while Taeyang and Daesung are set to be discharged in November; their discharge dates are close to each other.

  1. Vip should refrain the events to prevent the virus from spreading. Vip can arrange the events again when all the member have return. This maybe safer. Its just my opinion.
