UP10TION‘s Xiao and Hwanhee will appear on “Boys Planet”.
According to multiple broadcasters on December 22nd, UP10TION’s Xiao and Hwanhee recently decided to appear on Mnet’s “Boys Planet” and completed their first training camp.
Xiao and Hwanhee debuted in the group UP10TION in 2015 and have been active as the youngest members born in 1998. Hwanhee is the main vocalist and Xiao is the sub-vocalist. 7 years after debuting, they have improved their skills and have been recognized in various fields.
Xiao and Hwanhee, who promoted UP10TION’s ‘Code Name: Arrow’ last October, are known to have joined ‘Boys Planet’ after finishing their new song activities.
In particular, as there is a precedent for Kim Woo Seok and Lee Jin Hyuk of the same group, who appeared on Mnet’s “Produce X101” and expanded their scope to singers and actors, a lot of attention is also being paid to their challenges.
PENTAGON’s Hui is also reportedly joining the show.
Meanwhile, “Boys Planet” is the first idol-making program to be aired in Korea in 2023. Thousands of people from 84 countries and regions submitted applications for the open recruitment that ended last August, and 229 domestic and foreign management companies also participated in the open recruitment.
“Boys Planet” will be broadcast on Thursday, February 2, 2023, at 8 pm KST.
