ENA’s newest drama “Unlock My Boss” is here and you know its time for a review of the premiere episodes, lets talk about it!

Note: this article is a first-impression review, it doesn’t mean this is the writer’s final thoughts on the drama. This is a spoiler review.

Unlock My Boss” tells the story of a CEO of a huge IT company, one day, he gets trapped inside a phone, he gets into contact with a man named In Sung who helps him find out the truth.

The idea itself is sort of campy, but fun. I knew that going in, and while I was anticipating the drama, I didn’t quite have the highest expectations either. This is the best way I can put it, and to be honest with you, I like it so far.

So, the first episode of “Unlock My Boss” does not really show much aside from a possible car incident that either took his life, or rendered him in a weird state. So we don’t know if he’s dead or alive. I don’t know to what degree the drama plans on following basic logic, but I don’t care for it this much so far.

I still like the idea and think its interesting. It could be that he’s unconscious somewhere lying in a bed and his phone which has this AI is acting on his behalf to uncover the truth behind his disappearance. If thats the case, then its a nice idea.

I also especially liked how Kim Sun-Joo’s character was not really as snobby as you’d think he is for a CEO of an IT company, they all tend to follow similar characters descriptions so this was nice, he was more grounded which I liked.

In Sung is like a fish out of water but he seems bright enough to thrive in this environment if he’s given the proper opportunity. I also don’t think Se Yeon is a bad person but if it turns out to be the case, I won’t be that surprised.

I like all the actors involved in this project which is why I tuned in. Chae Jong Hyeop is so cute and has such a beautiful smile. He has a similar aura to the character he’s supposed to play which I find endearing. The pairing with Seo Eun So is interesting too. I like her acting and I think she’s very underrated, its almost criminal at this point.

In conclusion, I think “Unlock My Boss” premiere is enticing enough for me to tune in next week or in a couple of weeks for when more episodes come out.

Have you guys seen the premiere of the drama yet? what are your thoughts on it?
