TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) wrote a record for the 4th generation K-pop group on the US Billboard main album chart Billboard 200.
According to Billboard’s chart preview article on February 19th, TXT’s 5th mini album ‘The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION’ ranked 10th on the Billboard 200 this week.
The album, which previously ranked at first and third position, stayed in the top 10 for three consecutive weeks. K-pop groups have become more frequent in entering the Billboard 200, but TOMORROW X TOGETHER is the first 4th-generation K-pop group to be in the top 10 for three consecutive weeks.
Among all K-pop groups, TXT is the third artist after the global supergroup BTS, which represents the third-generation K-pop, and the K-pop representative girl group, BLACKPINK.
In 2019, BTS’ 6th mini album ‘Map of the Soul: Persona’ entered the top 10 for 4 weeks. In 2020, BTS’ 4th regular album ‘Map of the Soul: 7’ was in the top 10 for 3 weeks, and BLACKPINK’s 1st regular album ‘The Album’ was in the top 10 for 3 weeks. BTS’ special album ‘BE’ entered the top 10 for three consecutive weeks.
