TWICE’s Nayeon Personally Asks BamBam About The Crush He Had On Her During Their Trainee Days, Whats His Response?
BamBam has discussed the crush he had on Nayeon during their trainee days with Nayeon herself.
On the 14th of June, BamBam interviewed Nayeon as she dropped her new comeback album.
During a previous appearance on ‘BamHouse’ by TWICE’s Jihyo, BamBam reminisced about his trainee days and said, “I had a crush on Nayeon unnie, didn’t I?” and “I was 14 at the time, so it’s possible, right?”
BamBam’s confession received a lot of attention and sparked curiosity about the relationship between Nayeon and BamBam.
In the video, Nayeon mentioned that she wanted to clarify something. She revealed that BamBam had contacted her and apologized, emphasizing that it was just a crush and not a first love.
Nayeon shared a story from their trainee days, saying, “Isn’t it normal for anyone to secretly like someone, whether it’s at school or anywhere else? It wasn’t like that for me and BamBam, it was just a funny point for everyone. Everyone knew about it, and whenever I entered the vocal practice room, he would tease me. It was fun.”
BamBam jokingly said, “Some people curse at me (for having a crush on Nayeon). But if the fans show them my childhood photos, they would understand and stop cursing,” making everyone laugh.
Nayeon also mentioned, “Everyone, including the company employees, knew that trainees were not allowed to date publicly. I was just a baby, so people found it cute. I would talk about it seriously with foreigners in the dormitory. I think it was Jackson, Mark, or Peniel. I told it to everyone because that person was cute.”
BamBam confessed, “I liked her a bit back then,” and Nayeon said, “I thought you were just joking, but there was a moment when I wondered, ‘Is he serious?’ I didn’t think it was real because when you’re young, you enjoy liking someone, it’s not genuine.”
Nayeon shared an anecdote, saying, “Once, I was leaving the practice room and went to a pedestrian crossing where I had left my shoes in the practice room. As soon as the conversation ended, BamBam sprinted to the company. I looked at him and thought, ‘Is he serious?'”
BamBam revealed why he liked Nayeon, saying, “Back then, Nayeon had bangs with her black hair. We became close in a short period, and I complimented her.”
BamBam said, “I remember this. I didn’t expect it to happen. I didn’t think it would come true. It was enough for me to like her alone.” He then awkwardly said, “I can’t look into her eyes anymore. I think we’ll grow apart.” Nayeon replied, “I’m okay,” showing her composed attitude. When Nayeon mentioned that she probably wouldn’t talk about this when Jihyo was present, BamBam, who felt embarrassed, said, “I thought it would be edited out,” confessing and making everyone laugh.
