Fans are saying ‘YES’ to TWICE’s most recent comeback and the results are astonishing!
TWICE came back with a new mini-album “YES or YES” on November 5 at 6 p.m. KST, they released a music video for the title song which is the same as the mini album title.
The new album was not only a hit in Korea but overseas as well, quickly, it grabbed the number one spot on real time charts in South Korea, it also grabbed the number one spot on various iTunes albums charts of 17 different countries and regions, including Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore. The title track also rose to the top of the iTunes songs charts in seven countries and regions, such as Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam, and more.
Slowly after the release of their new hit track, the girls were able to score a perfect-all-kill on Korean charts as well solidifying their status as one of the biggest currently promoting girl groups in South Korea.
And now it has been finally confirmed by a YouTube rep that “YES or YES” is now the 7th most viewed music video in the first 24 hours of all time.
It has reached 31.4 million views in 24 hours.
“YES or YES” became the fastest Kpop girl group MV to reach the 10 and 20 million views breaking the records set by BLACKPINK’s “DDU-DU DDU-DU.”
It reached the 10 million views in 6 hours and two minutes beating out BLACKPINK’s “DDU-DU DDU-DU” by only 13 minutes and reached the 20 million views in 10 hours and 27 minutes (beating BLACKPINK’s record with “DDU-DU DDU-DU” by 3 hours and 16 minutes).
The girl group has also recently attended the 2018 MGA where they took home 3 awards one of them a Daesung award for Best-Selling Artist of the Year.
2018 is certainly TWICE’s year, I can’t wait to see what records they will break in the future.
Congratulations TWICE!
