TWICE’s Jeongyeon Asks DAY6’s Young K For A Song During His First Live Broadcast Since Military Discharge

Young K, a member of the JYP band DAY6, who was discharged after completing military service as a KATUSA Soldier, shared his feelings about being discharged.

Young K, who was the first Korean idol to pass KATUSA (Korean Augmentation to the United States Army) and enlisted in 2021, completed 1 year and 6 months of military service.

KATUSA Soldiers perform missions related to the ROK-US Union and require a certain level of English language proficiency. Once failed, it is impossible to re-apply.

In addition, he served faithfully by winning the 8th US Army Best Warrior Competition.

DAY6 started with the enlistment of leader Seongjin in 2021 and Young K is the second discharged person after Seongjin, who was discharged in September of last year. The remaining members, Dowoon and Wonpil, will be discharged from military service in July and November, respectively.

On the afternoon of April 11th, Young K conducted a live broadcast with fans through personal SNS and said, “I had a lot of time to think, so I thought about what to say a week ago, but I don’t know what to say. Also, Jeongyeon of twice appeared in the live broadcast and left a comment saying, “please give me a twice song”.
