It has been almost three years since TWICE debuted; they debuted back on October 20, 2015. Their 3rd anniversary is coming up shortly.
Today at the Soribada Best K-Music Awards the girls took home the Digital Daesang for the second year in a row, which was a huge deal because it was their second time winning this award show Daesang.
Its also a big deal because this means that TWICE has 8 Daesangs under its belt and they’re not even three years old. TWICE became the second most awarded girl group with Daesangs.
The queen of Kpop Girls Generation still hold the number one spot, they won a total of 10 awards throughout their long 11 years in the showbiz. 2NE1 holds the third spot with 6 Daesang awards.
This probably means that with TWICE continuous success because of their immense popularity, catchy songs, and even catchier choreography it seems like they could easily surpass their sunbaes Girls Generation records.
The end year awards season will begin soon and TWICE will most probably be attending more events and might even receive a Daesang or two.
