Top Korean Star Fined By The National Tax Service For Unfair Clothing Expense Processing

A top star has been fined a large sum of money due to unfair cost processing.

On November 19th, SBS reported that a top star avoided paying taxes by unfairly processing clothing costs in the billions of won and was subsequently fined a large sum of money.

A, the top star, is a frequent customer at high-end brand events. They often share pictures on social media wearing expensive clothes and accessories.

The National Tax Service investigated A’s tax declaration and concluded that over 90% of the declared clothing expenses, amounting to around 300 million won [$231,392], were personal expenses rather than expenses for entertainment activities.

It was determined that these expenses were for personal use rather than for entertainment activities.

A’s side argued that even though they were not official events, as a model, they had to wear expensive clothes for their image, but this argument was not accepted. In the end, A paid the entire fine.
